Do you even get real grades in 4th grade?
lol.
I knew kids on the “honor roll” in like 5th grade that didn’t even make it through high school.  She spends 2 hrs stretching at home before even going to dance class….sure, if everyone else would be able to do that she wouldn’t be ahead of them. She’s not going to go to an ivy league because she’s getting A’s while being home-schooled at age 10, come on, that’s insulting to people that actually spend their whole day with their noses in books to do as well as they possibly can and overcome their financial situation.

It’s not really insulting. A lot of high level athletes are homeschooled and if you are that driven in a sport you’re probably pretty smart too. Contrary to what a lot of people say, homeschooling for sports in not a bad thing.

i disagree about them being driven in everything. you trying to tell me ryan lochte is smart? and all it takes is one serious injury to end a young athlete’s career before it even begins. education should always come first, and most of the time the best opportunities for learning come from the school. if you indeed are home-schooling “for sports”  rather than because you think that you can give them a better education than the local school system that IS the completely WRONG attitude.
